Mini Bio
As a native of County Sligo, located along Ireland’s famous Wild Atlantic Way, I spent my childhood running up and down the dunes and beaches of Strandhill and Rosses Point every weekend. With two dogs at home, I love exploring the beauty around me and the rich culture of Sligo.
At Wilderness Private Travel, I have the opportunity to use my knowledge of the UK and Ireland to design amazing adventure and cultural itineraries that showcase these magnificent landscapes.
Favourite Place to Play
Cork and Kerry, to the southwest of Ireland, capture the country at its most quietly exquisite. Here is a landscape of cinematic coastline and fine dining, sweeping country estates and bustling local pubs alive with trad music.
In the UK, I’m drawn to places that feel timeless, offering a retreat away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The vast golden beaches of the Outer Hebrides off the west coast of Scotland, and the literary landscapes of the Lake District National Park in northern England, are among my favourites.
My Bucket List Itinerary
My bucket list itinerary would include a journey to the Skelligs, located off the coast of Co. Kerry in Ireland. I’d love to make that moment extra special. The day begins with a privately guided trip to the coast, where guests board a boat with an expert local skipper to explore one of Ireland’s most extraordinary UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
After taking in the impressive silhouette of Skellig Michael and learning about the rich history of these enchanting islands, we return to shore. There, a feast awaits, featuring the fresh tastes of the Atlantic Ocean. Warm, freshly baked bread is served alongside local crab and oysters, washed down with stories shared among locals.
